We are excited to have families come together to worship and hear the message of Christmas with a few songs from the kindergarten classes. Each child will have an important part in this service. A sheet went home with either a speaking part or if they are acting out the story of the Bible. We have the costumes, so no need to purchase anything. Your child may wear special Christmas dresses or sweaters that day.

A Note from Mrs. Kaber:




On November 20th, the students in kindergarten will enjoy a Friendsgiving Feast during their lunch time from 11:30-12:15pm in the Friendship Hall by the sanctuary.
Parents are welcome to come and help serve the students and enjoy a meal afterwards. This is one of my favorite events of the year, and we would love to give thanks with you all! Because this is a kindergarten event during the school day, and there is limited space with both classes and parents, we ask that siblings do not attend. Thanks for understanding!

I am so proud of our community coming together to help families in need especially during the holidays! If you brought in cans for the food drive, you may use this as a Service Project for quarter 2. Just fill out the paper and talk it over with your student! Thanks again for showing Jesus' love to others in our community!

Items Needed

Kindergarten is in charge of decorating centerpieces for the Veterans Day Celebration. If you can bring in empty and clean food cans for us to decorate, we would appreciate it!

Food Drive November 4th-8th 

Thanks to our Mission + Outreach Team, we are once again teaming up with Webster Gardens as they work to support the food pantry at St. John’s Lutheran Church in South St. Louis. Each K-8 homeroom is assigned specific items to contribute, (listed below) and early childhood classes can focus on ramen noodles and canned chicken.

ECE - Ramen noodles, canned chicken
Kindergarten - canned seafood (tuna or salmon), canned vegetables 
1st Grade - Mac & cheese boxes, canned diced or stewed tomatoes 
2nd Grade - package or box of pasta, canned fruit 
3rd Grade - canned vegetables (green beans, corn, carrots…), canned seafood (tuna or salmon) 
4th Grade - cereal boxes, canned soup 
5th Grade - canned chili with meat, canned vegetables (green beans, corn, carrots…) 
6th Grade - canned seafood (tuna or salmon), canned soup 
7th Grade - canned chicken, canned soup 8th Grade - canned chili with meat, rice
