A Note from Mrs. Kaber:

Classroom Needs: The students really enjoyed cutting out grocery ads. We will be using store ads throughout the year. If you have any ads you would like to bring in, we would appreciate it! Thanks for your help!

Dot Day:

Sunday, September 15th, is National Dot Day! This is a special day to celebrate the character, Vashti, in the story “The Dot.” Peter H. Reynolds, the author and illustrator, released this book on September 15, 2013.

Vashti is a young girl who didn’t think she was a good artist. Her art teacher encouraged her to just make a mark. This story has inspired millions of children and teachers. The story is used by teachers to instill creativity and confidence in their students.

CCLS Kindergarten will wear polka dots on Monday, September 16th to celebrate Dot Day. Listed below are a few guidelines.

  1. Your child can wear polka dot shirts, sweaters or skirts.

  2. Your child can wear polka dot socks or hair accessories.

  3. Your child’s polka dot items must be school appropriate (ex. No pajamas, costumes, etc).

We will be reading different Peter H. Reynolds books all week and will be doing fun activities to celebrate creativity and confidence!

Veterans Day Celebration:

This Veterans Day, November 11th, it is our distinct honor to recognize and celebrate our country's service men and women for their faithful service to our country!

Celebration Program at 8:25am
Please join us to honor our heroes at a special program put on by our elementary students.

Veteran Reception at 9:15am
We invite veterans and active military members to attend a 4th grade led, light breakfast reception following the celebration.

Help us spread the word by inviting active military members or retired veterans to this special event. Let's pack the church at the Webster campus to honor these men and women! Veterans should click the link to RSVP

Blessings on your week!
In Him,

Mrs. Kaber
