A Note from Mrs. Kaber:

We are getting into the groove of things at school. I am excited for this fresh new year with all of my new students. They are really working on self-help skills at school. Have them practice carrying their own bags and putting their own things away when they get to the classroom. If your student is ready, say your goodbyes at the door so we can transition into our school day smoothly. Sometimes when a student is upset and parents linger, it can cause a trickle effect in the room. I promise once they get going, the tears disappear as well. Ms. Lin and I am here to help with transitions. Remember, our school day begins at 8:10 am. and we need to get our attendance in the office. If your student comes in after the bell, they are considered tardy.

Curriculum Night: I hope to see everyone on Tuesday for Curriculum Night at 6:30pm. This is a parent night to learn more about what we do at school. After Mrs. Klug dismisses parents in their classrooms, you can hear about what we do in kindergarten. It is about 15 minutes long, and you can leave a special note for your student at their desk.

Blackbaud: If you aren't sure where to find something, Blackbaud will be your "go to" for all forms. The resource section will have almost everything you need. Students will have their own Classroom where teachers will post. My class newsletters will be on there under the link section and will always go out by Sunday evening for the next week.

Restroom: Please have your child go to the bathroom before they come to the classroom. We are having lots of students go to the bathroom during our morning carpet time. We do take frequent potty breaks, but we should be able to get through our morning routines without a break. Thank You!

All About Me Poster-
I sent a poster home for you to do with your child. We will be using these for our Student of the Week. There isn't a set date for you to get it done, but I prefer they be finished by Friday. As soon as I start getting them in, I will randomly select a Student for each Week. Thanks for taking the time to do this special activity with your child! You may also fill in the answers with them :)

Snack: Don't forget to pack a snack everyday :)

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out!

In Him,

Mrs. Kaber

A Note from Mrs. Kaber:
We had a great first week of school.  I am proud of all the hard work these kiddos have been showing me!  We are getting used to our routines and procedures as well as taking care of our supplies and folders to take home.  Don't forget to check out your child's Seesaw this week!
